interpack is the world leading triennial show for the packaging and associated processing industries and has been established as a meeting point for the biggest professionals in the sector. Boasting 19 exhibition halls, Messe Düsseldorf also hosted interpack 2017 which saw exhibitors meet 170,000 specialist visitors from 190 countries and acquire new clients from the food, beverage, confectionary, bakery, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, non-food, and industrial goods industries. The show is simply a must-go for global players, innovative mid-sized companies and traditional small businesses alike.
Beardow Adams recently opened a new, purpose-built factory in Frankfurt with Germany representing the largest market for adhesives in Europe. The idea behind the site was to better serve our growing business in mainland Europe and due to 2016’s Brexit announcement, it made sense to locate the extra capacity in the continent’s centre. The production plant’s initial focus is hot-melt adhesives for the bio-based packaging market as an increasing number of businesses look to reduce their carbon footprint.
The key content areas of focus for interpack 2020 include advances in the processing of packaged goods, plus packaging media and materials, and the manufacturing of packaging aids as well as wider services for the sector. We predict interpack’s new Life Without Packaging conference (which takes place on the penultimate day of the fair) is going to be a big hit come May 2020;
